What is CANapalooza?

CANapalooza is an exciting service opportunity during Homecoming to support the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank (www.brfoodbank.org). The LSU and Baton Rouge community will come together to collect thousands of canned-goods which will be used to build a replica of Tiger Stadium on the Parade Ground. You can be a part of CANapalooza by donating canned-food, setting up your own canned-food drive, or helping build. After a month of collecting, volunteers will build a replica of Tiger Stadium on Thursday and Friday of Homecoming week. The structure will be on display Friday through game-day.

    Why should you participate?

The Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank has experienced large financial cutbacks making it difficult to supply enough food to people and families in need. (You can help assist the Food Bank with food and monetary donations.) We encourage you to share the spirit of LSU and its Commitment to Community by coming together as an LSU family to collect the most cans in our history. You can be a part of this great service to our community!
